1. What is the Blast!?

A. The Blast! is a compact, portable HDMI dongle that contains an assortment of classic hit games. What makes this even better than the original platforms is how the Blast! allows its player to save, load, and rewind games at their leisure to achieve high scores, progress further in games, and resume gameplay with ease!


2. What’s included in the Blast! box?

A. Aside from the Blast! dongle, a custom wireless controller, USB power cable, stickers, and instruction booklet are included in each box. Each dongle’s color corresponds with a specific Blast! collection. There are currently a total of seven Blast! models in all, with more on the way.

4. How do I set up the Blast!?

A. The Blast! is an extremely user-friendly device. Just power, plug, and play!

 

5. What if the Blast! dongle doesn’t fit in my TV’s HDMI port?

A. An HDMI extension cable (not included) may be used if needed.


6. What if my USB power cable is too short to reach the USB port?

A. The included USB power cable is meant to connect with the USB ports around your television. If the space between your HDMI port and USB port is too far apart, you may have to use a longer power cable in lieu of the included one. USB power cables can also attach to any 5.0v AC-to-USB power adapter.


7. Is it safe to turn off my TV while my Blast! dongle is connected to and being powered by it?

A. It is perfectly safe to power off your TV while the Blast! dongle is connected.


8. Can I use the USB cable to connect the Blast! dongle to a computer and add more games to it?

A. The USB cable is meant only as a power source and additional games cannot be added via USB.

9. What kind of batteries does the Blast! controller use?

A. 2 AAA batteries (not included)
 

 

10. How do I sync the controller with the Blast! dongle?

A. All Blast! controllers should already come pre-synced. If a controller is not already synced, the user should do the following: 

 

     

11. Can I use a player one controller from one Blast! as a player two controller on a different Blast!?

A. Sorry, no. The player one controllers are built for the system they came with. 


12. Why does my Blast! come with a wireless six button gamepad controller when the games on my unit use fewer?

A. We chose to standardize on a proven, ergonomic gamepad design that is usable with any game type. The benefit to the player is that they can enjoy any game from any Blast! unit with the same familiar controller. With six action buttons and three secondary buttons, the gamepad becomes your wireless command center, allowing you to pause, rewind, and perform other game-specific console functions, like setting difficulty level, right at your fingertips.

13. What special features are available?

A. Saving: Game states can be accessed via the in-game menu by pressing “Menu”

     Loading: Game states can be accessed via the in-game menu by pressing “Menu”

     Rewinding: By pressing the “REWIND” button on the controller, players will be able to go back in time several seconds. Press “DOWN” to resume gameplay.

14. Why does my Blast! box come with two stickers?

A. Because there are so many different versions of Blast!, your stickers can make sure that you never mix up your controllers and dongles. Just stick one on the top or bottom of your controller and you'll know which controller corresponds with which dongle. Plus they look cool! 


15. Do other AtGames controllers work with the Blast!? Do Blast! controllers work with other AtGames consoles and portables?

A. No, these controllers are designed to only work with the listed compatible Blast! systems.

 

16. How long do the batteries in the controller last?

A. The Blast! wireless controller requires 2 AAA batteries to operate (not included). They'll last about 150 hours on standby.


17. What can I do about input lag?

A. If you feel that there is any input lag, please switch to your TV's "Game Mode".


18. How do I turn my Blast! dongle off?

A. Simply unplug the cable from its connected power source.


19. How do I turn my Blast! controller off?

A. To turn off the Blast! controller: 
Locate the On/Off switch on the top right shoulder of the controller.
Flip the switch to the "Off" position when not in use to conserve battery life.
If you experience erratic gameplay, the power light does not come on, or the controller seems unresponsive, try a fresh set of batteries.

21. Why is my Blast! having an issue displaying on my TV?

A. Please check that your Blast! dongle is correctly plugged into the HDMI port and is connected to a 5.0v USB power outlet. If everything is properly attached, but there’s still nothing on the screen, please try a different power outlet or HDMI port. If no HDMI ports work, the issue may be that your TV model is not compatible with the Blast! dongle. Below is a list of known TV models list that may not be compatible with the Blast! dongle:
